Such fantastic fun up at the ‘technically bankrupt’ Samoa Rugby Union

Someone is not telling the truth. Which ironically is the only truth we know in the ongoing dispute between the Samoa Rugby Union (S.R.U.) and World Rugby. Who that is, you can be the judge.

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor, I refer to your front-page story titled “Church Ministers outraged by tax laws” on the Sunday Samoan. This is a word of warning to Samoa; be careful when you touch God’s anointed.

Dear Editor, Our Samoa Rugby Union will never progress under Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi’s rule. He has been at the helm of the S.R.U. operations for many years without success. It has been documented as the worst period of Samoan rugby in the modern era and everything is going downward within the S.R.U.

Dear Editor, I refer to an article of the Samoa Observer of 17 Nov 2017 (Pay your taxes, P.M. tells Church Ministers) that was based upon a media session with the Prime Minister last week. The outcome of the media session to me as a Christian was successful.

SLOW DOWN PLEASE Those midnight rally drivers might want to be careful out there.

YOU’RE THE BEST! Admiration and thanks to the school pupils, supervised by teachers, for manning the pedestrian crossings near schools and keeping their many fellow students and drivers safe on our roads.

DEPENDS WHICH SIDE YOU’RE ON Does that adage "one swallow make a summer" apply to football? If you’re an Aussie rugby fan and have been waiting for a win for yonks, it’s a resounding yes.

Think a Minute

Think a minute…Not long ago a couple was taking a holiday in the mountains of California. Day after day they saw the same young man sitting by a bridge near their hotel. At first they thought he was fishing, but after a closer look they realized he was doing nothing but sitting and staring at the sky.

Head of State or Governor General?

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi’s government has moved to amend the Constitution once more in relation to the position of the Head of State. But the change has given rise to suggestions that since anyone is now eligible to become the Head of State, is it not time to consider changing the title from Head of State to Governor General. What do you think? Ioana Tupa’i asked in today’s Street Talk and this is what people said:
