Prison break: Four prisoners escape from Tafa’igata

A man convicted of tying up a male while raping his wife at knife point had escaped from Tafa’igata Prison.

The good news is that Lauititi Tualima has been recaptured.

But he was among four prisoners who escaped from Tafaigata this morning, according to the Samoa Police Service.

The others are:

2. Vaioa Solia (m)

3. Aniseko Vaelei (m)

4. Uili Manuleleua (m)

According to the Police, Tualima and Solia are now back in police custody.

“The remaining two prisoners Aniseko Vaelei and Uili Manuleleua haven't been located.

“The police are appealing to members of the public for their assistance in order to catch the two remaining convicts.

“The public is also advice not to approach the prisoners directly as they are considered aggressive and dangerous but urgently report it to police at phone number 22222.

“The SPS would like to ensure the public that there safety is our priority at this time of the year and the police are working around the clock to catch these criminals.

The public will be further informed once the other two prisoners are back in custody. Police investigations are continuing.”
