The Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority (F.E.S.A.) received a much needed assistance yesterday.

Thanks to Toyota Asco Motors Samoa, F.E.S.A. received $10,000 worth of equipment at their main office in Apia.

The equipment included an electricity generator and a water pump.

Toyota Asco Motors Assistant C.E.O, Lipa Vaoga, presented the equipment.

He said the donation was to support F.E.S.A, who had recently bought an ambulance from Toyota Asco Motors Samoa.

He says F.E.S.A. is one of the most significant services in the country and the equipment will help boost the authority.

“The electricity generator will help your service when the electricity is off especially during natural disasters. The water pump will boost your service by pumping unwanted water out when there’s a flood.”

F.E.S.A. Chairman, Leta’a Daniel Devoe, acknowledged the kind assistance.

“On behalf of the Samoa Fire and Emergency Service Authority, I would like to convey and express our sincere heartfelt thanks to the Toyota Asco Motors Samoa.”

“We have tons of equipment here already, but only use them when there is power, but this generator gifted to us will help us use them when there is no power and this water pump as well.”

“The equipment gifted today (yesterday) will be put to good use and will be well looked after.”
