Senior Manu Samoa player, Faifili Levave, is confident his team have done the hard yards needed to win tonight.

Coming off the bench, Levave said the team has had to get over the disappointment of last week’s result to be mentally prepared for the test at Apia Park.

 “We’ve covered a lot of detail from last week, cleaning up a few things in our set piece attacks, but it’s been a good week,” Levave said. 

 “Last week’s the score got away from us, but we took a lot of positives from that game and we are moving forward into this game against Wales.”

 He is confident that if they can maintain the level of physicality they displayed in the first forty minutes against the All Blacks, they will give the Welsh a fight. 

Levave is excited about the changes to the personnel and across the board, stating that the team has a wide range of experience, which ensures they can be confident going into tomorrow night. 

Paul Alo-Emile will be starting as Tighthead, and team mate Levave is sure he will make an impression in the scrums. 

The new addition, Henry Taefu, is also one to watch. 

Playing in a blue jersey to a home Samoan crowd is an experience he describes as “overwhelming.”

 “Morale is strong, it’s nice being in Samoa around our family,” Levave said. 

Tonight’s match is shaping up to be the sporting event of the year, as the Manu Samoa unite with the loyal Samoan community, to create a formidable side.
