Govt. launches I.C.T. training programme

The Governent has launched a Pilot I.C.T. Training programme made possible with the kind assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (U.N.D.P.).  

The pilot programme will train 60 unemployed youth in the I.C.T. field.  

The key focus of the programme is to equip the youth of Samoa with I.C.T. skills and knowledge to enable them to find more employment opportunities in this particular field.

This initiative puts emphasis on the government’s efforts to train, prune and prepare the youth of Samoa for the future. 

The pilot programme is a small step on the path to Digital Samoa, and it is facilitated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development in collaboration with the National University of Samoa. The two week training commences on 25 June 2018.
