The Laumei Opens team is the undisputed champion of the 25km Aunu’u Regatta Iron Challenge held in American Samoa during the weekend.

The Laumei team had a secret weapon in the form of superwoman Amanda Wheatley. They dominated the opens category from start to finish.

Hosted by American Samoa’s Alo-o-Samoa Outrigger Canoe Club, the marathon started from Utulei waterfront to Aunu’u Island and back. Laumei OC Club was among the clubs from Samoa who tackled the challenge.

Also present were open and mixed teams from Nafanua O.C.C and Pualele O.C.C who took second and third place respectively, completing Samoa’s domination in American Samoa.
