Parker could fight at Olympics under proposed change

Joseph Parker could fight in the Olympic Games in the future if a new proposal being considered by boxing's governing body goes through.

Restrictions which currently rule global stars like Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury out of the Games are could be abolished at an The International Boxing Association (AIBA) Commissions meeting in England this week.

After the meeting Wednesday, AIBA President Ching-Kuo Wu said the proposal could be ratified within months, potentially in time for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in August.

"We want the best boxers to come to the Olympic Games," Wu told Britain's Press Association, adding that it was "absolutely possible" the changes could be made in time for the Rio Games.
