Samoa Sports Lotto has once again stepped up to support the development of the sports in Samoa.

This time they have presented $15,000 to Rugby League Samoa Inc to help with preparations for the Rugby League World Cup this year.

The tournament will be held in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea between the 26th of October and the 2nd of December.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Gambling Control Authority, Tuala Siaki Tuala, said the Samoa Sports Lotto is always happy to help local sports.

“The Samoa Sports Lotto is all about helping with the developments of sports within our country,” he said.

“This time we know the Samoa Rugby League is preparing for the World Cup this year and so we thought that this will help with their preparations.”

Accepting the donation on behalf of the President of the Samoa Rugby League was the Board Member of Rugby League Samoa, Taefu Salapu Asalele.

“On behalf of the President and the board of the Samoa Rugby League we want to say thank you to the C.E.O and staff of the Samoa Sports Lotto for this huge support,” he said.

“We are grateful for the contribution made to the Samoa Rugby League for their preparations for the World Cup.”
