Supreme Court Justice, Tafaoimalo Leilani Tuala-Warren, has awarded Samoa Breweries Limited (S.B.L.) $778,009 in a civil claim. This is in connection to a breach of contractual obligations. According to the ruling, S.B.L. and Queen Maggie Transport Limited entered into a Product Distribution Agreement in May 2009.

The management of the Civil Society Support Programme (C.S.S.P.) is alarmed about reports some families are looking to take advantage of the generosity of others. Speaking to the Weekend Observer, the C.S.S.P. Project Manager, Theresa Masoe Taimalelagi, said water tanks donated to families, who requested them in the first place, cannot be sold for profit.
