World Wide Safety C.E.O., Virginia Toalepai has plans to invest her time and money in her homeland – Samoa.

During an interview with the Business team, Ms. Toalepai revealed she is in talks with a local general contractor to construct two hotels in Samoa.

Though details of when exactly works on the hotels will commence, she confirmed that the first hotel will be built on Savaii and there are hopes to have it completed in time for the 2019 Pacific Games.

She also revealed that as a Samoan, making it big in the United States, she wishes to see Samoa develop and she is investing quite a sum of money in the two hotels, the second planned for Upolu.

Ms. Toalepai, who also owns U.S-based 300 Productions, is in Samoa to sign a sponsorship deal with Samoa’s Le Tiumasalasala dance group for a chance to record in their studio in 2020.

“I am working with one of the partners I have here that we’re going to build a hotel, so it’s another way we can create more jobs and also another way to support Samoa,” Ms. Toalepai said.

“My construction partner, who doesn’t want to be revealed for now, we are finalising stuff for the development. I am contributing money, so I pretty much own it and it’s my first hotel business ever.”

Never in her wildest dream did she dream that at one stage of her life, she would own and invest in a hotel.

“I never really thought this would happen, I was only focusing on the youths when I came to Samoa, but opportunities opened up and I grabbed it.

“We just actually came back from the site in Savaii this morning (Thursday), we went to look at the location and finalise some stuff and hope we get it done before the Pacific Games.”
