Please maintain the balance of power

Dear Editor,

It is with great amazement to recognise from your Newspaper Observer  regarding  the establishment by the Cabinet, (Executive Branch of the Samoan Government) a commission of Enquiry to investigate the performance of the Honourable judges of the Samoa Land and Titles Court.

Respectfully, it must be noted that most if not all well informed Samoans are aware of delegate balance of power,  that has been entrenched by our precious supreme law, the Constitution of our beloved country Samoa, that must be maintained by the respective heads of the main three branches of our Samoan Government;   1) Independent Judiciary,  2) Legislative and  3) the Executive.

Historically, such unconstitutional interference by the Executive had never happened during the previous administration for the period of 64 years.

It is our Prayer and humble advice to avoid any unnecessary for interference but to maintain the  delegate balance of power by the three branches of Samoa Government to secure future stability in our beloved Samoa.

Respectfully Yours,

Leota-Su’atele Manusegi
