Samoa Stationery and Books will be hosting the 3rd biennial Trade Promotion from the 25th of April.

The C.E.O and President of S.S.A.B. Fiti Leung Wai said Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi will deliver the keynote address to officially welcome more than 30 suppliers who will be attending the event.

Mrs. Leung Wai said the Fair will be over a three day period.

“We will run it for two days here in Upolu and then we will take it to Savaii for one day because we have a lot of customers in Savaii,” she said.

“We will be having representatives from HP, Samsung, Buro, Sleepwell, Sebel, Croxley, Pelikan, ACCO, Boyd Visuals, and Havaiannas and more.

“Another interesting thing about this year is that we are bringing in the president of Scott Shoes from Hawaii because we are now the authorized reseller of Scott Shoes in Samoa.

“Everyone is invited to make use of the specials during the trade promotion,” she said.

“The objective of the Trade Promotion is to understand our customers’ needs and concerns and identify how we can address those concerns,” she said.

“Not only that, but to also identify gaps in the market and then our suppliers can fill those gaps by providing solutions in terms of products and services and it will also help strengthen our partnership in supporting our supplier’s brands and products,

“If S.S.A.B. and all the suppliers understand the consumers’ concerns or needs, the better the service and a wider the array of products can be provided.

“Another important side of the event is it will help introduce new products into the market because we don’t want Samoa to be left behind.

“We want to be the forefront of the Pacific Region by having the latest technology and updated products in all areas.”

The Marketing Manager of S.S.A.B. Asia Stanley echoed Mrs. Leung Wai’s thoughts on the event.

“The Trade Promotion is an opportunity for all our customers to actually meet the suppliers,” she said.

“S.S.A.B. and our suppliers want our customers to be well taken care of and to do that, we are inviting all suppliers to come to Samoa.”

Ms. Stanley said that this is a rare opportunity that only comes around every two years.

“There are not too many companies in Samoa that host these trade promotions and offer this kind of opportunity to our community and the people.

“We also want our customers to know and believe that what we are advertising on television and everywhere else, is that we are confident because these people will be here to meet them in person.

“So when we say S.S.A.B. is the authorized reseller for the majority of the products that we sell here especially the electronics products, we are actually telling the truth.

“[And] we want our customers to know that these people are actually coming.”

Ms. Stanley said the occasion gets bigger every time it happens and the support from the suppliers is very strong.

“They also trust us to take care of the Samoan community who use their products and we have to make sure that their reputations and credibility are maintained to the level that they expect.”
