The President of the Land and Titles Court, Fepulea’i Atilla Ropati, has pleaded guilty to a charge of assault against him.

He entered his plea yesterday through his lawyer, Aumua Ming Leung Wai when he appeared before Chief Justice, His Honour Patu Tiava’asu’e Falefatu Sapolu.

But Fepulea'i pleaded not guilty to the charges of grievous bodily harm, being armed with a dangerous weapon and causing injury.

The prosecutor was Lucy Marie Sio of the Attorney General’s Office.

Fepulea'i’s matter was scheduled on the list of all the other criminal matters to be called at 10 o’clock yesterday morning.

However, he had a special fixture and his matter was called at 9:30am.

The Prosecution confirmed outside of Court that the matter has been scheduled for a hearing on the week commencing 23rd April, 2018.

He is still remanded in liberty.

The charges against Fepulea'i stemmed from an incident involving a security guard.
