It’s going to be a cracker

Dear Editor,

Re: America’s Cup

OTUSA had the faster boat for race 7&8 but made too many mistakes and the boat seems to have stability issues.

Oracle is out practicing and by race time tomorrow, most of today’s problems will be well controlled. TNZ is poised to take the Auld Mug with one more race but if OTUSA takes out both races tomorrow, TNZ will be in big trouble.

That is the reality with how development on these boats are happening and the massive$$$s backing them esp. oracle. That is how it happened in San Francisco 2013.

Smart design, smart sailing and smart boat management has kept TNZ ahead but the five day layoff has allowed the OTUSA to copy TNZ.

Now they are faster in low winds (something only TNZ managed in the first four races of finals. OTUSA is faster upwind, downwind and now practicing their gaping and tacking so they stay up 100% on foils like TNZ.

It’s going to be a cracker tomorrow provided there’s enough wind for racing.
