The Samoa Water Authority (S.W.A.) Staff Association donated $1,000 and food items to the Home for the Elderly at Mapuifagalele on Thursday.

The President of the Association, Nepa Bourne, said the donation was their way of giving back to the community, especially to the nuns who are doing an exceptional job of looking after the elderly at the Home.

“This is not the first time that we have given something to the Home for the Elderly,” he said.

“We did it before. Last year and the years before that, we donated to other charities that needed our help. This year, we have returned to the home for the elderly to show our appreciation for all their prayers and their blessings for not only us but to everyone else.”

Mr. Bourne said the staff of S.W.A. are delighted to be able to spread a little Christmas cheer with the donation.

“We have been raiseing the funds since the beginning of the year.

“We will continue with this charity programme for the Home for the Elderly every year especially during this time.”
