Lupesiliva from Sapapali’i proved too good for Iva in the final of the inaugural Toa Gas Savaii Nines tournament yesterday.

Winning 10-8, Lupesiliva credited teamwork and a well-organised defence for their success.

Lupesiliva and Iva emerged from the 10 teams in the competition to battle it out in the final. The tournament was the first of it’s kind in Savaii. It was organised by Rugby League Samoa.

Held at the Prince Edward Park, Toa Gas Director, Leatigaga Peni and R.L.S President, Tagaloa Faafouina Sua, together with Miss Samoa, Ariana Taufao launched the tournament. Here are some photos from Savaii yesterday.
