The University of the South Pacific will open its gates to the public for its annual Open Day Festivities on Friday 19 August 2016.

The Open Day is part of an educational awareness initiative for the public to bear witness to the University’s facilities, resources, services and find out for themselves the numerous educational opportunities offered at the campus.

The blend of activities will commence with an official opening with the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, La’aulialemalietoa Leauatea Schmidt the keynote speaker.

The Cultural concept this year will introduce a new initiative whereby all the 12 member countries will be represented in a Pageant of Culture and traditions.

This will encompass the beauty of each island and the appreciation of what they all represent respectively.

Students from around the country and the community will be engaged with campus staff and guided by student tours around various sections of the campus. They will have the opportunity to witness a satellite feed, be advised on distance opportunities, view the I.R.E.T.A. farm in addition to quality displays and interactive activities which will be all showcased on the day.
