Samoa needs better work safety

Re: Road safety Samoan style

This is a perfect example of safety issues here in Samoa.

What we see here is about road safety in which L.T.A. and the Police Force are supposed to enforce it.

Everyday you’ll see all kinds of unsafe behavior by motorist or passengers but only bring it out when an accident occurs.

My main concern is “SAFETY” at every work place in Samoa.

If you look around, there is a huge need for a safety department to draw up safety rules for all workplaces and enforce them.

I’ve seen people working on construction wearing sandals and without hard hats, some construction workers on high places without safety belts or harnesses.

You also see people riding inside the trunk of delivery trucks just to name a few but overall, Samoa needs a SAFETY department and enforce the law to minimize accidents and save lives.
