Tupuola Lafililo Tupuola Itula Tu Pasia has been welcomed by the Sa Tofaeonō family and the district of Siumu as the new holder of the Tofaeono chiefly title.

Members of the family in Samoa and from overseas celebrated the special event last weekend.

The bestowal of the Tofaeono title shows the commitment of Tupuola Lafililo Tupuola Itula Tu Pasia to continue family traditions through serving the family, village, district and church with respect and honesty.

“I want to thank my family for their support in so many ways especially the family of Siolo II and the district of Siumu. Fa’afetai le fa’aeaea!,” he said.

The titleholder was blessed by Rev. Tu’ia Peseta. During the blessing, the titleholder was encouraged to prioritise his family, especially the church. and to always put God first in all the he does.

The ceremony ended with traditional formalities.
