Completely wrong.
Australian citizens are obliged to turn up to vote even when residing or visiting overseas. Embassies and consulates are open for them.
The issue here is one of not allowing Samoans to choose those who make very important decisions that will affect them and their relatives. And most of these Samoans have firsthand knowledge of good governance, something I have never witnessed anywhere on Upolu, for instance.
Why are the Government afraid of their country folk’s votes?
