The District Court Prosecution Division of the Attorney General’s Office visited the Samoa Victim Support’s (S.V.S.G.) office bearing donations of food, clothes, shoes and toys this week.

The gifts were for the children survivors of violence cared for at the S.V.S.G. shelter facilities – the Campus of Hope.

Under the leadership of Silupevaelai Rexona Titi, the donation was put together by members of the District Court Prosecution Division, as a token of their appreciation for S.V.S.G’s work in collaboration with them at the Family Court.

The work includes the application on behalf of the abused women and children for Interim Protection Orders, the shelter care, the counseling support, the transport to and from the shelters to the Police or the Attorney General’s office for interview; to the hospital for the required medicals.

“SVSG does all its work for free, out of the goodness of your hearts, so here we are, presenting these goods, to show our appreciation of the work that you do,” said Lupematasila Iliganoa Atoa, speaking on behalf of her division.

S.V.S.G. President Siliniu Lina Chang welcomed the support from the group.

“Thank you for including the children survivors of violence cared for at the Campus of Hope, in your charity activity this week,” she said. “We look forward to seeing you more often in these charitable occasions besides the usual collaborative work we do at the Family Court.”
