The two prisoners who escaped from jail last week Thursday, have returned back to the Tafa’igata Prison.

This was confirmed by Police Superintendent and Media Spokesperson, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo.

“The prisoners are Fili Faulalo 34-years-old from Leulumoega Tuai and Tui Samuelu 24-years-old of Falelauniu, Manono and Vailoa Faleata,” he said.

The men are currently serving jail time for burglary, theft and robbery convictions.

Responding to questions from the Samoa Observer, Auapa’au said the inmates “returned” to Tafa’igata.

He said the Police will bring them in for questioning and they will be charged for escaping from jail.

In the meantime, Uili Manuleleua, who escaped from jail last year, is still on the run.

“Please call 22222 if anyone comes across Uili Manuleleua. Members of the public are asked not to approach the prisoner, if encountered rather they should call the police,” said the Police Superintendent.
