What’s in the Constitution

Dear Editor,

Re: Taxing the Head of State

Section 32 of the Land Titles Registration Act 2008 gives the government the right to tax all land registered under that Act.

This means all customary land leased and registered. It also gives them the right to say how the land is used and control of all water rights. It transfers sovereignty or absolute ownership to the State, which means that landholders must pay money every day of their lives to live on that land.

Really sad that ancestors passed that land to our people as a free inheritance and the H.R.P.P turn it into a money making scam for themselves.
