Police bike crew equipped

The Samoa Police Prison and Corrections Services (S.P.P.C.S.) Bike Unit received $13,000 worth of equipment and new uniforms in light of boosting law enforcement and upholding the rule of law.

Held at the Police headquarters on Friday, Commander Superintendent Daniel Evans and Detective Sergeant Peter O’Neill of the Australian Federal Police facilitated the handover of essential bike equipment and uniforms to the SPPCS's Bike Unit, valued at approximately AU$7,000.

Attended by esteemed members of the SPPCS's Executive and Senior Management, underscored the collaborative efforts between Samoa and Australia in strengthening policing infrastructure, Police posted on their official social media account.

"Expressing gratitude, the Samoa Police Commissioner commended the ongoing Samoa-Australia Police Partnership for its pivotal role in advancing the country's security initiatives," said Samoa Police in a statement.

"The provision of bike equipment and uniforms marks a significant milestone in enhancing the operational capacity of Samoa's law enforcement, enabling more agile and responsive policing across diverse terrains. 

"This strategic collaboration not only underscores the commitment to fostering international partnerships but also underscores the shared dedication to promoting safety and security within the region."

As Samoa continues to prioritize effective law enforcement strategies, Samoa Police highlighted that such partnerships created safer communities and upheld the rule of law. 

The handover ceremony served as a testament to the enduring friendship and cooperation between Samoa and Australia in the pursuit of common goals.
